1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser or device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your settings and actions and provide us with anonymous statistical information about how the site is used.
2. Which cookies we use
We use two categories of cookies on our website:
| Category | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | They ensure the basic functions of the website and its correct display. Without them the website would not work. | Legitimate interest – no consent required. |
| Analytics (Google Analytics) | They anonymously measure traffic and user behaviour so that we can improve the website. | Your consent. They are stored only after it has been given. |
3. Google Analytics
To measure traffic we use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Using cookies, the service provides us with statistical data such as the number of visitors, the source of traffic, the pages viewed or the time spent on the website.
We process this data in anonymised form and it does not serve to identify specific individuals. We activate analytics cookies only after you have given your consent via the cookie bar.
In connection with this service, data may be transferred to Google outside the European Union (in particular to the USA), on the basis of appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
More information about how Google processes data can be found in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Consent and its withdrawal
On your first visit to the website, a bar will appear in which you can accept or reject the use of analytics cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always used, because the website does not work without them.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time:
- by reopening the cookie bar settings on the website;
- by deleting stored cookies in your browser settings;
- by using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Managing cookies in your browser
You can restrict or block the storage of cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers also allow you to delete cookies that have already been stored. Please note that if certain cookies are blocked, the website may not function correctly.
6. Storage period
Strictly necessary cookies are generally stored for the duration of the session, or for a short time needed for the website to function. Google Analytics analytics cookies are retained for the period set by the service provider, but no longer than 14 months, unless stated otherwise.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy where necessary. The current version is always available on this page; the date of the latest effectiveness is stated at the top. For the context of personal data processing, see the Privacy Policy.
